On the Estate near where I live, there are several large scrapes on which birds nest such as the Little Ringed Plover, Lapwing, Green Sandpiper, Curlew and other visitors.  I spent several weeks moving a canvas hide across the mudflaps so as to be close to the birds.  By getting up early in the morning while it was still dark and waiting for the light to come up, I could then photograph the Little Ringed Plover successfully without disturbing the birds.  By getting down to water level I managed to achieve good reflection images.
